If you plan on camping in the beautiful region of Ras Al Khaimah, you will be happy to know that one of the most visited glamping sites in Dubai, Banan Beach, is opening a location there.
Glamping is all about comfort and luxury, along with the natural beauty of the desert. And what better place to indulge in this experience than in Ras Al Khaimah? While a specific date hasn’t been set for when Banan Beach’s new site in Ras Al Khaimah will open, the consensus is, it will open just in time to usher in the cooler months.
There is no doubt that this northern emirate region offers some of the best activities, accommodations, and scenery for your glamping experience.
By the leadership of RAK’s ruler, the tourism sector has been transformed and dynamized with good service standards for guests. Ras Al Khaimah has continued in its goal to be a favorite tourist destination for people seeking a relaxing and fun vacation in the UAE.
We anticipate that the new Banan Beach site will include features like the last, such as BBQ facilities, swinging hammocks, and beach sports. At the old Banan Beach, there were hammocks, bean bags around campfires, and open hammocks so that you could relax without any fuss. Additionally, children had the opportunity to participate in beach volleyball, yoga, and water sports.
A restaurant, a tent camping area, and free parking were available on the old site. Additionally, visitors were allowed to bring their food. Dogs were welcome on a Monday for those who couldn’t bear to be apart from their dogs.
A Year-long Plan
The anticipated opening of Banan Beach in Ras Al Khaimah follows the announcement to open two other glamping sites in the region, Cloud7 Camp Jebel Jais and Cloud7 Camp Al Sawan, a few months ago.
Kerten, an Irish hospitality company, announced plans to open two eco-friendly glamping resorts in Ras Al Khaimah. It is intended that one of the resorts will be located in the mountains of Jebel Jais while the other is due to open among the sandy dunes of Al Sawan.
A total of 30 lodges will be built at Cloud7 Camp Jebel Jais, constructed from eco-friendly supplies – including locally sourced stones – and offer stunning mountain views, as well as easy access to some of Ras Al Khaimah’s most thrilling activities. At the Al Sawan glamping resort, campers will have the chance to explore the beautiful surroundings while experiencing the local agriculture.
Furthermore, both glamping resorts will come with high-quality amenities along with an eco-friendly design.
The establishment of the glamping resorts is consistent with Kerten’s eco-focused philosophy. Both resorts focus on supporting local communities, contributing to eco-tourism in the UAE, and creating an exclusive experience for guests centered around local culture.
